BSides Transylvania
Security BSides Transylvania brings the international BSides community to Cluj-Napoca. The site has one job in the weeks before: agenda, speakers, sponsors, tickets.
The event
BSides is an international, community-run cybersecurity conference format. The Transylvania edition runs at the Polyvalent Hall in Cluj-Napoca and draws security professionals, ethical hackers and researchers, talks and panels alongside workshops, live demos and a CTF.
Volunteers run it, but there are still sponsor tiers to sell, partners to credit and tickets to shift — often to someone who arrived from one post on LinkedIn.
For most attendees the website is the only part of the conference they see before they turn up.
What we built
The conference website: agenda and speakers, the sponsor and partner tiers with their own tables, the FAQ that answers what a first-time attendee actually wants to know, and the ticketing path.
The design leans hard into the subject — monospaced type, a layout borrowed from a terminal window. We would not put that in front of most audiences. This one gets the joke.
The figures the homepage puts up front belong to the global BSides community it is part of: over 840 events worldwide, across more than 60 countries and 217 cities, with this one hosted in Romania.
